Why Push Yourself In a Small Business???

There are so many reasons why I started this business back in 2020. One of the biggest reason why I wanted to do something fun for money before I went off to college. The second reason was that it was during COVID 19 and I was bored out of my mind lol. However I soon realized after a year that no one was really buying any of my products. I would maybe make 3 sales in a month and then NOTHING for a few months. This really discouraged me and made me stop altogether. This broke my spirit and made me really think about sutching down permanitly. BUT I knew in the back of my mind that one day I would start up again and be even bigger the next time around. The biggest reason why my small shop didn't work in 2020 was because I didn't PUSH MYSELF and it was just a bad time to start up a business.
Now that I am a mom to a beautiful 2 month old almost 3! ( she will be 3 months on sunday) I really want to push myself to make this work. I want to make this work. Yes for the extra income but also I need this to feel like my old self also. While I love my family being a full time college student, mom and wife my daus get busy and full and sometimes overwhelming! This shop is an outlet for me to take a break from all the crazy lol. That is why I decided to rebranded my small shop and start over with a FRESH START! And this time I know my shop will make it! I am so lucky to have my husband and family help with our baby while I work on my business. Even tho i feel guilty sometimes for not spending every second with her haha. I am lucky to have a great support system. Im even more thankful that some days all 3 of us are working on orders and getting them packed and ready to be shipped out! THANK GOD FOR BABY CARRIERS hahah!!

So the BIG question I had for myself and for those trying to run a small shop is.... WHY PUSH YOURSELF? You have to push yourself to keep promoting your products to get orders in! NO ONE is your biggest supporter like yourself! Have family and friends share your post and have a top share rewarded and give out a $10 target ir starbucks gift card to have people helping you promote your business. You have to push yourself to continue when days get hard and no one is buying products. You have to push yourself to make those orders even when you have been busy al day! You have to push yourself to make you shop WORK! And so much more but i'm sure you get the idea!
People may not know why you started up a small shop but you do! Maybe it's being able to provide a certain lifestyle for your family. Maybe it's the thought of being able to pass down a business through the generations. Or maybe it's just the feeling that comes with knowing you're making your own way in the world, beholden to no one.

Here are some things I do to push myself as a mom, wife and as a full time college student!
1: Get rid of the mom/dad guilt
2: Don’t make excuses and choose your priorities
3: Make the most of sleep and nap times (for moms or dads)
4: Have really good systems and batch as much as you can
5: Make use of all the in between moments during your days
6: Be ruthless with what you work on and don’t waste time
7: Make health and self-care a priority
8: Accept it will be hard and will take time
9: Always Challenge Yourself to Grow
10: Find a Small Business that you Love
11: Failure is your Self-Motivation
12: Keep Motivation Visible to you
13: Rejection is a Stepping Stone
14: Build Business by Iterations
15: Remember Why you Started
16: Focus on Clients that Keep you Up
17: Focus on Small Wins
18: Execution is the Secret Motivation
19: Visualize your Goals
20: Fitness is Motivation

I really hope someone took something from this post. I know it's long but its very meaningful and was something I wish I would've heard back in 2020 when I was discouraged and gave up! BUT i know there is a reason for every failure and God always has a plan for the future!
